|
- Begin with cells and simple systems correlating gene response with metabolic, structural, and genetic changes over multiple generations
- Conduct research in space aboard Space Shuttle, International Space Station, in deep space, on planetary probes, and Space Biology Discovery missions
- Conduct outreach to increase university and industry involvement in Generations-focused research via both competitive and targeted partnership solicitations
- Encourage bio-info-nano synergies with fusion centers nationwide that can expand the space biology research infrastructure
- Amplify science yield through bioinformatics, biolibraries, upgraded relational databases, computational biology, scientific visualization
- Promote technology transfer via commercialization, Space Act agreements, and public/private consortia developments.
