Generations will conduct studies on Earth and a variety of space platforms including the International Space Station and Bioexplorers. Payload development will include autonomous, multigenerational habitats and advanced in-situ analytical technologies.

Bioexplorers
Return Probes
Small, adaptable configuration probes orbiting above the Van Allen belts for study of microgravity and radiation on returned samples
Free Flyers
Autonomous, integrated laboratories for long-term multigenerational studies

Space Shuttle and Space Station
Space Shuttle
Studies that examine life's short-term responses in space
Space Station
Studies of evolution in microgravity and payload and technology validation

Information on flight hardware that may be available for use in Generations research is compiled in Flight Hardware Information Resources, a list of categorized links.
